Chaya Shaiman is a Tzfat glassblower and painter. Light, color, joy, and depth define her work. Sheva Chaya grew up in Denver, Colorado where wide open skies and the majestic Rocky Mountains inspired her to begin her career as an artist. She studied at Princeton University, majoring in visual art and art history, with a concentration in painting. After graduating from Princeton in 1997, Sheva Chaya immigrated to Israel. There, the land, the people, and a rich tradition of spiritual teachings brought a new, deeper dimension to her work. Sheva Chaya now loves living in Tzfat's Artists' Colony with her family.
Sheva Chaya works in the media of borosilicate glass and watercolor. She regularly presents to groups and individuals visiting Tzfat. Find out how Sheva Chaya first came to Israel as a tourist and ended up loving it. Her presentation themes include kabbalah and glassblowing, women's wisdom, and connecting to the Land of Israel. Sheva Chaya's gallery experience is perfect for private tours, synagogue groups, bar/bat-mitzvah trips, and youth groups.
